Training Coordinator Division Chief

Employer: Greater Toronto Airports Authority

Role: Nothing is more important in aviation than safety, and in this role you’ll be making a crucial difference by equipping firefighters with vital skills. Working on-site four days a week at the Fire and Emergency Services Training Institute, you’ll oversee fire service instructors and the fire service technician. You’ll supervise student mentors and associate instructors, oversee a learning program, identify qualified instructors for training programs and evaluate and promote the effectiveness of training practices throughout the department.

Key requirements: Post-secondary or technical school diploma/certificate or equivalent combination of training, education and experience. NFPA 1041 Level II fire service instructor certification or adult education certification or degree in education.

Airport Welcome & Departure Coordinators - Part time

Employer: Eli Camps

Role: First impressions count – and you’ll make sure they’re good ones for international students arriving in Toronto for this language camp. As the students’ first point of contact, you'll provide a warm welcome and escort them from the airport to the residence. You'll assist them in checking into their rooms, helping them settle in smoothly. At the end of their stay, you'll ensure stress-free drop-offs at the airport, leaving them with fond memories of their time in Canada.

Key requirements: You must be at least 18 years old, available on call from late June to mid-August, able to occasionally lift luggage weighing up to 23 kilograms and have a clear Vulnerable Sector Screening.

310T Truck and Coach Mechanic - YYZ Fueling

Employer: Menzies Aviation

Role: Menzies Aviation provides ground handling, fuelling and cargo services at Toronto Pearson. As a mechanic, you’ll play an important part in keeping the airport moving by servicing, diagnosing and repairing Menzies’ fleet of vehicles and related equipment.

Key requirements: You’re a qualified, 310T-certified mechanic with your own tools and at least three years of related experience. You understand heavy-duty diesel and automative equipment, are experienced in fixing complex hydraulic and electrical systems and are flexible to work all hours and days.

 

Night Auditor

Employer: Silver Hotel Group

Role: Working at Towneplace Suites Mississauga, you’ll combine your enjoyment of customer service with your eye for detail and head for numbers. As the main point of contact during the night, you’ll staff the front desk. When you’re not assisting guests, you’ll ensure that all daily transactions are reconciled and balance the revenue and settlement accounts.  

Key requirements: You’re passionate for customer service, detail oriented and have good knowledge of Excel and basic accounting principles. You must also be able to stand for eight-hour shifts and work evenings and overnight.

Employee and Labour Relations Governance Associate

Employer: Greater Toronto Airports Authority

Role: Serving as a key point of contact, you'll support policy and program development, help with workplace investigations and accommodations, manage data analytics, report on employee/labour relations matters, support vendor and contract administration and contribute to developing presentations.

Key requirements: Post-secondary degree in human resources, business administration or a related field, at least two years’ experience in human resources (with experience working in a unionized, customer-centric environment) and in analyzing data and creating reports.

Propulsion and Pneumatics Engineering Section Chief

Employer: Bombardier

Role: Leading the engineering team for the Global series propulsion, fuel and pneumatics systems, you’ll support the assembly and testing of aircraft high- and low-pressure ducting and pressurization, among other systems. You’ll develop a high-performance team to support root cause identification of system issues encountered during installation and/or ground and flight functional testing.  

Key requirements: You have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and are eligible for professional engineer registration. Five to eight years of relevant experience and technical expertise and are conversant with design, qualification and certification test requirements of propulsion, fuel and pneumatics systems.
