Manager, Deicing Operations Maintenance
Employer: Greater Toronto Airports Authority
Role: Pearson’s deicing team are winter warriors who keep the airport moving safely through the cold months. Your work will include overseeing the preventative maintenance and repair of specialized deicing vehicles, equipment and facility infrastructure; coordinating maintenance activities; managing maintenance budgets; leading team training and contingency planning.
Key requirements: More than five years of experience in fleet management and equipment maintenance (including heavy equipment), more than three years of union-environment leadership experience and a strong focus on data and metrics.

Esthetician (part time)
Employer: Be Relax Spa
Role: Be Relax Spa gives passengers an oasis of calm in the busy airport. You’ll help your clients look and feel their best by providing manicures, pedicures, hand massages and foot massages. You’ll also prep and clean your beauty station between appointments.
Key requirements: An esthetician licence permitting manicures, pedicures, waxing, facials, foot and chair massages; an understanding of sanitation and sterilization standards and knowledge of cosmetology trends.
Employer: Air Canada Rouge
Role: You’ll prep the aircraft for takeoff, greet customers, make announcements, ensure safety procedures are followed, provide food and beverage service and complete any required safety and service reports after each flight.
Key requirements: You’ll need a high school diploma and a valid Canadian passport with no travel restrictions. You must also live within 90 minutes of Pearson (or be ready to relocate), meet company medical standards and successfully complete a six-week training program.

Employer: GAT Airline Ground Support
Role: As a warehouse supervisor on the Sky Café team, you’ll play an integral role in the supply chain that delivers memorable in-flight food and beverage experiences to passengers. You’ll ensure the safe and efficient execution of all daily tasks, including setting up work assignments, providing work instructions to the warehouse team and confirming that all shipments are handled in accordance with procedures.
Key requirements: Two to three years of leadership experience managing up to 40 direct reports and forecasting and scheduling management experience. You’ll also need a valid driver’s licence and be available to work shifts on days, afternoons, nights and weekends.
Employer: Greater Toronto Airports Authority
Role: This new senior position is responsible for assessing and managing business opportunities and may be involved in GTAA capital projects. You’ll provide advisory support and will help develop and assess the organization’s strategic and business unit priorities by researching key competitive trends, identifying opportunities and solutions and preparing recommendations to improve strategic planning and monitoring processes.
Key requirements: You’ll need more than 10 years of experience in corporate strategy, business development or management consulting. You’ll also have more than five years’ experience of managing teams and leading corporate strategy work, an MBA or professional designation and a proven record of evaluating business initiatives that drove organizational transformation.

Employer: HMSHost
Role: You’ll work at Twist, a restaurant in Terminal 1 that serves North American comfort food with a global spin. Responsibilities include cleaning equipment, floors, workstations, utensils and pots and pans, ensuring ice and keg beers are stocked and loading and unloading supply trucks.
Key requirements: You must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents. You must also be willing to frequently immerse your hands in water and water-diluted chemical solutions.
